Nous publions un ensemble de notes que Jacques Duguet, président d’honneur de notre société, décédé au cours de cette année, nous avait confiées, il y a bien des années, et dont il comptait approfondir l’analyse pour en faire un article. Cette récension d’un éminent érudit des textes médiévaux nous a paru intéressante pour prendre place dans Roccafortis. Les quelques remarques liminaires permettent d’en apprécier les particularités.

The following piece is not an article properly speaking. It is a collection of notes compiled by our honorary chairman, the late Jacques Duguet who died in 2020. He intended to go deeper into the subject of fish(es) in medieval literature and fine arts with a view to producing an expanded version of his original text. As it is this textual review with its relevant introductory remarks by our distinguished learned colleague was found worthy of interest by the reading committee and declared worth publishing in our Bulletin.
